Schichallion is just 5 miles west of Kinross, famous for Kinross cashmere.

Visit Lochleven Castle, Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned there but managed to escape only to be beheaded. Take a walk on Lochleven Heritage Trail which borders an RSPB bird sanctuary, home to many migrating birds. Play a round of golf at one of the many golf courses, go carting at Knockhill or visit Vane Farm and birdwatch.

There's plenty to do and if you are here in July you can take in T in the Park, one of the UK's largest music festivals.
